Driver alleges another motorist's negligence caused crash

ORLANDO — An Orlando vehicle driver is suing another motorist, alleging negligent driving caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Travis Holland filed a complaint Sept. 27, in Orange County Circuit Court against Stephanie Rushing, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care in the ownership, operation use of her vehicle for the benefit of other individuals on public roadways.

According to the complaint, on March 23, 2017, Holland was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Old Winter Garden Road and South Hiawassee Road in Orange County when his vehicle was struck by Rushing's 2016 Range Rover SUV. The heavy impact of the collision , the suit says, resulted in damage to plaintiff's vehicle and caused permanent injury to Holland. 

The plaintiff alleges Rushing failed to operate her Range Rover in a safe and reasonable manner, failed to keep an adequate and proper lookout and failed to stop for a vehicle in the road.

Holland seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 as well as post-judgment interest, court costs and any other just and proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Eduardo D. Fons and Travis D. Koon of The Law Office of Travis Koon PLLC in Lake City.
