CLEARWATER — An insured driver is suing State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a liability insurer, citing alleged breach of insurance contract.
Deanna L. Saunders filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in Pinellas Circuit Court against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company alleging that the liability insurer failed to perform under the terms of the policy.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 27, 2016, she was the driving a vehicle that was insured by defendant when a vehicle negligently driven by a third party caused a collision with her vehicle. She sustained injuries and damages for which she made a claim for uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage under the policy provided by defendant. The plaintiff holds State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to settle plaintiff's claim for uninsured/underinsured motorist benefits.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages which exceed $15,000, exclusive of costs and attorney's fees. She is represented by Jarrod G. King of King Law Firm in Ocala.
