CLEARWATER — A motorist is suing a Mercedes driver, alleging negligence caused a crash.

Megan Tran filed a complaint Sept. 20 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Stephen Anderson, alleging failure to operate his motor vehicle so as not to cause injury and damage to others.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 16, 2017, Tran was driving when her car was struck by Anderson's Mercedes Benz. Tran says she sustained serious and permanent injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disfigurement and scarring, diminution of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Anderson negligently operated his Mercedes and caused it to collide with Tran's vehicle.

Tran seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Jodi Leisure of Carey Leisure & Neal in Clearwater, and by H. Mark McKeown of Growney, McKeown & Barber PA in St. Petersburg.
