ORLANDO — Two Orlando property owners are suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Luis Santos and Kim Santos filed a complaint Sept. 12 in Orange County Circuit Court against Castle Key Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide coverage for the plaintiffs' losses after a hurricane.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2017, the Santos' property at 8158 Fraim Court, Orlando, sustained damages during the policy period as a result of Hurricane Irma. The Santoses say they notified Castle Key of the damages, and the insurance company assigned a claim with a date of loss.

However, the suit says, the Santoses did not and continue not to receive any compensation to recover under the policy. The plaintiffs allege Castle Key Insurance has failed or refused to fully perform under the policy, fully value the plaintiffs'  losses and failed to fully pay for all of the losses as required by the insurance policy

Luis and Kim Santos seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and costs. They are represented by attorney Eric Deming of Morgan & Morgan, PA in Orlando.
