CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing Wawa, alleging negligence led to her falling on a slippery floor.

Susan Angell filed a complaint Sept. 7 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Wawa, Inc. alleging the convenience story failed to correct a hazardous condition in the premises.

According to the complaint, on April 20, 2016, Angell was at the Wawa at 34th Street North in St. Petersburg where she slipped and fell on a hazardous clear liquid-like substance. Angell says she sustained injuries, great physical pain and suffering, inconvenience, impairment, mental anguish and loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff alleges Wawa failed to correct the dangerous condition and failed to adequately warn invitees of the existence and danger on the floor.

Angell seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus costs and all other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Thomas D. Roebig Jr., Shaun M. Cummings, Luca G. Esposito, Chase P. Florin and Chad K. Florin of Florin Roebig, PA in Palm Harbor.
