ORLANDO — Two Orlando property owners are suing a liability insurer, alleging breach of an insurance contract.

Harold Spangler and Arlene Spangler filed a complaint Sept. 6 in Orange County Circuit Court against Security First Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide coverage for certain of the plaintiffs’ losses.

According to the complaint, during the policy period of Feb. 16, 2018, to Feb. 16, 2019, the Spanglers' dwelling at 1224 Tanager Drive suffered water damage due to a failed plumbing system. The plaintiffs say they complied with all conditions precedent to entitle them to recover under the policy.

However, the plaintiffs allege Security First Insurance has failed to pay for all of the Spanglers' losses.

The Spanglers seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, court costs and attorney fees. They are represented by attorney Christopher H. Hunt of The Nation Law Firm in Longwood.
