ORLANDO — A motor vehicle passenger is suing the driver of another car, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Justin Torres filed a complaint Sept. 6 in Orange County Circuit Court against Maria I. Figueroa Camacho alleging she negligently operated her motor vehicle so that it collided with the vehicle in which Torres was a passenger.

According to the complaint, on March 2, Torres was a passenger in a vehicle heading northbound on Chickasaw Trail in Orlando when Camacho's 2011 Toyota Corolla collided with his vehicle.

Torres says he sustained a permanent injury, plus physical and mental pain, impairment and disfigurement. The plaintiff alleges Camacho negligently attempted to make an improper lane change.

Torres seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other proper relief. He is represented by attorney Christopher R. Turner of Orlando.
