ORLANDO — A Palm Beach County woman is suing Orlando restaurant operators, alleging negligence led to injuries.

Wanda Coney of Riviera Beach filed a complaint Sept. 6 in Orange County Circuit Court against Cheddar's Casual Cafe Inc. and restaurant general manager James Rinehart, alleging failure to maintain their business premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2016, Coney was a guest at Cheddar’s Casual Café, 6650 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, when she slipped and fell due to the greasy floor. Coney says she sustained bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, scarring and disfigurement.

The plaintiff alleges Cheddar's Casual Cafe and Rinehart negligently permitted the dangerous condition to remain on the premises for a sufficient length of time and failed to give adequate warning of its existence.

Coney seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorneys Todd E. Copeland and Robert J. Crohan Jr. of Todd E. Copeland & Associates PA in Orlando.
