ORLANDO — A Philadelphia visitor is suing an Orlando resort owner, alleging negligence caused him to fall in a hotel bathroom.

Rodney Dombrowski filed a complaint Sept. 6 in Orange County Circuit Court against UCF Hotel Venture III, doing business as Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, alleging the premises owner failed to to keep its property reasonably safe for its invitees.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 26, 2016, Dombrowsky was a business invitee at Sapphire Falls Resort. The suit says he fell in the bathroom of his hotel room due to a buildup of water from the shower or a bathroom enclosure.

Dombrowski says he sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life. The plaintiff alleges Loews Sapphire Falls Resort failed to adequately correct the unreasonably dangerous condition and to give adequate warning of its existence.

Dombrowski seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney Justin H. Presser of Presser Law PA in Altamonte Springs.
