ORLANDO — A robbery prompted an Orange County resident to file a lawsuit against an apartment complex.

Solange Hayes filed a complaint on Sept. 4 in Orange County Circuit Court against Lake Sherwood Investment Partners LLLP; Concord Management, LTD. and J&A Security Services LLC dba Patrol Services.

According to the complaint, an unknown masked male approached Hayes and demanded her purse. Hayes claims she she screamed to deter the masked robber and get the attention of defendant Patrol Services. But the defendants did not come to her aid despite being on the property, the complaint states.

The complaint also alleges the defendants knew about past violence on the property, but did not have safety precautions in place.

Hayes claims she fell to the ground and hit her head as the robber kept yanking her and her purse.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for compensatory damages in an amount in excess of $15,000. She is represented by Jasmine Rand of Rand Law, LLC in Miami.
