ORLANDO — An Orlando motorist is suing a Naples driver, alleging negligent driving caused a crash that led to injuries.

Evan Coleman filed a complaint Aug. 23 in Orange County Circuit Court against Carlos Rivera, alleging the defendant failed to operate a motor vehicle in a reasonably safe manner.

According to the complaint, on April 16, 2017, Coleman was operating a motor vehicle on East South Street in Orlando when he was struck by a 2013 Ford driven by Rivera, causing a collision.

As a result, Coleman says he suffered bodily injury, aggravation of a previous existing condition and loss of ability to enjoy life and earn money, plus the expense of hospitalization, and medical and nursing care and treatment.

The plaintiff alleges Rivera negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained the motor vehicle so that it collided with the car Coleman was operating.

Coleman seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest, costs, attorney fees and all other such proper relief. He is represented by attorney George H. Anderson III of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
