CLEARWATER — An insurance company's denial of a theft claim prompted a man to file a lawsuit.
Bradley Landes filed a complaint on Aug. 3 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Progressive Select Insurance Company, alleging that the defendant breached the policy contract.
According to the complaint, Landes submitted a stolen vehicle claim, but Progressive denied it. Landes says he is the valid owner of the stolen truck and the insurance policy specifically covers theft.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for cover the loss and damage of the Chevy Truck and such other relief as the Court deems just and proper. He is represented by Michael J. Babboni of Shapiro, Goldman, Babboni & Walsh in St. Petersburg.
