ORLANDO — A Winter Park woman is suing dog owners, alleging negligence in keeping their pet from attacking a neighbor.

Celeste Petrunak filed a complaint Aug. 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against Pantchwattie Singh, Ana Ramos and Rocky Lancaster, alleging the defendants failed to maintain, care for and/or control the dog on their premises.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 3, the dog known as Bentley got loose from its home at 237 Pennsylvania Ave., Winter Park, and severely attacked Petrunak. The plaintiff said she was bitten and mauled by a dog owned by Singh's tenants Ramos and Lancaster.

As a result, Petrunak suffered bodily injuries, causing pain, impairment, disability, disfigurement and mental anguish.

The plaintiff alleges Singh failed to require that the dog be removed from the premises by his tenants, Ramos and Lancater, or require that the dog be sufficiently maintained to prevent it from attacking members of the public.

Petrunak seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs, and any other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Gregory S. Stark of Todd K. Miner PA in Orlando.
