CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County man is suing a St. Petersburg towing company, alleging it owes more than $33,000 for breach of contract.

Jacob M. Rahdert filed a complaint July 30 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Skyway Towing & Recovery Inc., alleging the defendant breached the stock purchase agreement by failing to provide the plaintiff's full share in the company.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 17, 2017, Rahdert entered into a stock purchase agreement with Skyway Towing to sell the remainder of his stock to the company for $40,000 and a signed a promissory note.

Rahdert alleges despite the defendant agreeing to compensate him for his shares in the company within one year, Skyway Towing only paid him $14,500 within the period and has not made any payments pursuant to the agreement.

The plaintiff alleges Skyway Towing & Recovery failed to make periodic payments with interest despite Rahdert accelerating the note due and demanding payment in full.

Rahdert seeks trial by jury, judgment in the total sum of $33,015.12 and all further just and proper relief. He is represented by attorney George K. Rahdert of Rahdert & Mortimer PLLC in St. Petersburg.
