CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County man is suing a St. Petersburg pest control company, alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.

Michael McCall filed a complaint July 9 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Arrow Exterminators Inc. alleging violation of the Florida Private Whistleblower Act.

According to the complaint, McCall had worked for Arrow as a service center manager since 2014. The suit says on Feb. 26, 2018, he was terminated from his employment for not participating in violating a chemical storage method, including the lack of a proper ventilation system. The plaintiff alleges Arrow Exterminators terminated his employment for engaging in protected activity.

McCall seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, excluding interest, back pay attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorneys Wil H. Florin and Parker Y. Florin of Florin Roebig PA in Palm Harbor.
