CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County customer is suing Ikea and a trampoline arena, alleging negligence caused injuries.
Rose McDonough filed a complaint June 12 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Schepker Enterprise LC, Airheads Trampoline Arena, Ikea Holdings US Inc., et al, alleging failure to ensure that the trampoline arena did not pose any danger to their invitees.
According to the complaint, on June 14, 2014, McDonough was injured at defendants Airheads Trampoline Arena in Pinellas County when the chair provided by the defendants broke, causing her to fall.
McDonough says she sustained bodily injuries, resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, plus medical and nursing care and treatment expenses.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to maintain the property in a reasonably safe condition and failed to provide warning of any latent or concealed defects.
McDonough seeks trial by jury, judgment against each defendant for damages in excess of $15,000, plus costs of suit, and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Paul R. Cavonis of DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis, PA in Seminole.
