CLEARWATER – A woman alleges she was injured at a St. Petersburg store because of liquid on the floor.

Jasmine James filed a complaint on May 17 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Dolgencorp LLC, doing business as Dollar General, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 22, 2016, she was lawfully on the premises owned by the defendant when she slipped and fell because of liquid on the floor.

The plaintiff holds Dolgencorp LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed its duty to warn its customers of any dangers and failed to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant, exclusive of costs and fees. She is represented by Howard P. Markowitz of Pitisci, Dowell & Markowitz in Tampa.
