CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County business is suing a roofing services company, alleging breach of contract.
Gulfside Supply Inc., doing business as Gulfeagle Supply, filed a complaint May 2 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Mac Johnson Roofing Inc. and Mac Johnson, alleging the defendants owe nearly $172,000.
According to the complaint,Gulfeagle Supply has suffered economic and monetary losses from entering into a written agreement with Mac Johnson Roofing in the purchase of roofing materials and supplies. The suit says the defendant has breached terms of the contract by failing to make payment of $171,899.78, plus interest.
The plaintiff alleges Mac Johnson Roofing has breached terms of the contract by failing to make consistent payment of the amount due, retained and benefited from the goods supplied by the plaintiff without paying necessary dues, and obligated Gulfeagle Supply to hire an attorney to protect its interest.
Gulfeagle Supply seeks trial by jury, damages of $171,899.78 with interest, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Robert E. Burguieres of Arnold & Burguieres in St. Petersburg.
