ORLANDO — A Brevard County woman is suing an Orlando inn and suites, alleging negligence and insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries to the plaintiff.
Terri Alexander of Rockledge, Florida, filed a complaint April 25 in Orange County Circuit Court against Hawaiian Court Hospitality LLC, doing business as Clarion Inn Suites, alleging the defendant failed to inspect and adequately maintain the cleanliness and safety of the premises.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2017, Alexander visited Clarion Inn Suites, 9956 Hawaiian Court, Orlando. Alexander says she slipped on a transistory foreign substance and fell forcefully to the ground, sustaining severe bodily injury, resulting in pain, disability, mental anguish and the expense of medical care and treatment.
The alleges Clarion Inn Suites failed to maintain its premises, floors included, in a reasonably safe condition for use, and failed to warn anyone of any known hazards or conditions.
Alexander seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000.00, plus interest, court costs, attorney fees and all further relief the court deems fair and just. She is represented by attorney Logan J. Young of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
