CLEARWATER — A customer is suing a Dunedin business, alleging negligence in keeping an uneven sidewalk utilized by residents and guests.

Theresa Parent filed a complaint Jan. 29 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Equity Lifestyle Properties Inc. alleging the defendant failed to provide reasonably safe accommodations and with reasonable security measures to customers and guests.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 31, 2016, Parent was an invitee on the defendant's property, 1415 Main St., Dunedin, when she tripped and fell while traversing common area sidewalks.

Parent says the sidewalks has an uneven height and were poorly maintained. As a result, Parent alleges she suffered bodily injuries, mental anguish and the expense of hospitalization.
