ORLANDO — A New Jersey woman is suing Walt Disney Parks, alleging negligence led to her suffering injuries.
Robyn Certaro of Passaic County, New Jersey, filed a complaint Jan. 3 in Orange County Circuit Court against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc., alleging the amusement park failed to maintain its premises in a safe condition.
According to the complaint, on May 7, 2015, Certaro was lawfully on the defendant's property known as Hollywood Studios as a patron. The suit says she slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the floor near the bleachers.
As a result of Disney's negligence, Certaro says was injured in and about her body and extremities, suffered pain, incurred medical expenses and suffered physical handicap
The plaintiff alleges Walt Disney Parks and Resorts failed to exercise reasonable care in maintaining the floor and/or bleacher area, failed to adequately conduct inspections of its premises, and failed to remove all foreign substances from the floor.
Certaro seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, compensatory damages, taxable costs and all such other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Sara Schafer of Law Offices of Jason Turchin in Weston.
