ORLANDO — A vehicle owner is suing Honda, alleging breach of implied warranty.

Keeshawn Shakar Burnett filed a complaint Dec. 27 in Orange County Circuit Court against American Honda Motor Company Inc., alleging violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

According to the complaint, , in Feb. 28, 2017, Burnett purchased a 2013 Honda Accord for $15,997. The suit says shortly after purchasing the Accord, Burnett experienced various defects on the car that substantially impair its use, value and/or safety.

Burnett says despite delivering the Accord to Honda's authorized dealership network three times, the defects remain uncorrected.

The plaintiff alleges American Honda failed to adequately repair the defects as provided in manufacturer's warranty and failed to meet the specifications set forth in the warranty.

Burnett seeks trial by jury, all incidental and consequential damages incurred for diminution in value of the vehicle, costs of repair, attorney fees, witness fees, court costs and all other relief the court deems just and appropriate. He is represented by attorney Nicholas Lacina of Krohn & Moss LTD in Chicago.
