Customer alleges she was assaulted at Orlando rooftop bar

ORLANDO — A Seminole woman is suing a restaurant's rooftop bar, alleging failure to protect customers from any dangers.

April Mansch filed a complaint Nov. 30 in Orange County Circuit Court against ONE80 Orlando LLC, doing business as Latitudes at Chillers, alleging failure to protect the safety and protection of invitees or guests to the bar.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 13, 2017, Mansch she was a business invitee, lawfully on the premises of the rooftop bar Latitudes at Chillers at 33 W. Church St., Orlando. The suit says Mansch was attacked, assaulted and battered by another customer. 

As a result, Mansch says she sustained physical injuries, psychological injuries and incurred medical expenses for nursing care treatment. 

The plaintiff alleges Latitudes at Chillers failed to warn, protect, guard, and/or secure the safety of the members of the public to any danger on the subject property, failed to report criminal activity or cooperate with law enforcement investigating criminal activity.

Mansch seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000 for costs incurred and all other relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by attorneys Craig R. Lynd, Jeffrey S. Kaufman and Ashley Lefevre of Kaufman and Lynd PLLC in Orlando.
