ORLANDO — A customer is suing Macy's, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Anne Corcino filed a complaint Nov. 27 in Orange County Circuit Court against Macy's Florida Stores LLC, alleging failure to use due care to maintain its premises in a safe condition.

According to the complaint,on Aug. 3, 2016, Corcino was shopping at the Macy in the Florida Mall in Orlando. The suit says Corcino was walking in a customary manner at the Macy's when she slipped and fell on a puddle of water on the floor and caused by a transitory substance.

As a result of defendant's negligence, Corcino says she sustained injuries and suffered monetary damages.

The plaintiff alleges Macy's Florida Stores failed to adequately warn her of the dangerous condition, failed to inspect the area where the accident occurred, and failed to take corrective action.

Corcino seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, court costs and all further relief the court deems necessary. She is represented by attorney John V. Trujillo Jr. of Pardy & Rodriguez PA in Orlando.
