Lender alleges borrower owes $20,000

Late 03

ORLANDO — An Orange County lender is suing a borrower, alleging unjust enrichment and unpaid debt.

Simone Olivo filed a complaint Nov. 27 in Orange County Circuit Court against Karine Rezende, alleging the borrower has failed to repay $20,000.

According to the complaint, in September 2015, Olivo tendered a check in the amount of $20,000 to Rezende. The suit says although the defendant has admitted she received a loan from Olivo for the $20,000, Rezende remains indebted to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff alleges Rezende has benefited from alienating Olivo from the beneficial use of the plaintiff’s funds and has refused to return the loaned amount.

Olivo seeks trial by jury, judgment of $20,000, plus pre-judgment interest and any other remedy the court provides . The plaintiff is represented by attorney Euribiades Cerrud II of CPLS PA in Orlando.
