ORLANDO — A New Jersey tourist is suing Walt Disney's Epcot Theme Park, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Thomas Warburton filed a complaint Nov. 28 in Orange County Circuit Court against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc. doing business as Epcot Theme Park, alleging the amusement park failed to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on July 28, 2016, Warburton was a guest at the defendant's amusement park in Orlando when he slipped and fell on a liquid substance that was being drained from a cart/kiosk. As a result, the suit says, Warburton suffered bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Epcot Theme Park failed to properly maintain and inspect its floors and premises and failed to adequately warn business invitees of the dangerous and hazardous condition that existed on its property.

Warburton seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, interest and court costs. He is represented by attorney Stephen J. Zaccor of Kanner & Pintaluga, PA in Boca Raton.
