St. Petersburg property trustee accuses tenants of breaching lease agreement

CLEARWATER — A trustee for St. Petersburg property is suing tenants, alleging breach of a lease agreement.

Lynn Vlaming filed a complaint Nov. 21 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Joshua DeBlock and Josef Nikolais Christopher Kissinger, alleging they breached their duties of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the historical building, owned by Harvey’s Subdivision Lot 23 Revocable Living Trust in St. Petersburg, suffered structural damages as a result of the defendants' failure to maintain the rental property in an excellent condition. Instead, the suit says, the defendants made multiple structural alterations and modifications to the property without Vlaming's consent, in direct violation of the lease agreement.

The plaintiff alleges DeBlock and Kissinger failed to report damages to Vlaming for a significant amount of time, and failed to compensate the plaintiff for any of the damage that they have caused.

Vlaming seeks trial by jury, actual and punitive damages, costs of action, court costs, attorney fees, and all further relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Lisa R. Wilcox of St. Petersburg.
