CLEARWATER — A Tampa woman is suing a doctor, alleging negligence led to medical injuries to the plaintiff.
Alicia Dagistanli filed a complaint Nov. 20 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Dr. Robert S. Davidson, alleging failure to exercise standard care and skill required of a medical provider.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 26, 2016, Dagistanli was at Safety Harbor Surgery Center for laparoscopic cholecystectomy performed by Davidson. The suit says she suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, scarring, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and loss of earnings, due to Davidson's negligence in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedure.
The plaintiff alleges Davidson failed its duty to adequately and appropriately provide medical care and treatment, and departed from the acceptable standard of care for health care providers.
Dagistanli seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, exclusive of interest and court costs. She is represented by attorney Andy B. Steingold of Maney & Gordon PA in Tampa.
