ORLANDO — Orlando property owners are suing an insurance company, alleging breach of an insurance contract.

Fritznel Saint Fleur and Marie Saint Fleur filed a complaint Nov. 16 in Orange County Circuit Court against Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company, alleging failure to pay for covered damages.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, while the Universal insurance policy was in full force and effect, the plaintiffs' property at 11768 Bentry St., Orlando sustained damages caused by Hurricane Irma. However, the suit says, they have not received the full benefits under the policy.

The plaintiffs allege Universal Property & Casualty Insurance failed to pay the full benefits due and owing for the covered losses.

The Saints Fleurs seek trial by jury, damages in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, attorney fees, court costs and prejudgment interest. They are represented by attorneys Jay M. Arnesen and Paris R. Webb of Arnesen Webb, PA in Boca Raton.
