ORLANDO — An Orange County woman is suing a home builder, alleging breach of contract.

Lileith Miller-Carty filed a complaint Nov. 16 in Orange County Circuit Court against Lennar Homes LLC, alleging the contractor breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, Miller-Carty has been monetarily damaged in that Lennar Homes' negligent construction of her property at 1836 Scrub Jay Road, Apopka, caused defects and violations. The suit says the defendant's actions have substantially reduced the value of her home and forced her to expend money for repairs and renovations to correct the defects and violations.

The plaintiff alleges Lennar Homes failed to comply with all applicable local, state, and national building codes and regulations, failed to adhere to industry standards and reduced the value of Miller-Canty's home.

Miller-Canty seeks trial by jury, damages, interest, court costs and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney M. Lee Reeder of Burnett Wilson Reeder in Tampa.
