CLEARWATER — A guest of Pinellas County apartment owners is suing the owners, alleging negligence led to injuries.
Lisa Bearse filed a complaint Nov. 8 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Rajendra Persaud and Ann Persaud, alleging they failed to provide a safe environment for its guests.
According to the complaint, on Aug. 5, Bearse was at the Persauds' apartment complex, 2463 Elyria Ave., Largo. The suit says Bearse fell due to a defective picnic table, sustaining bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses, aggravation of a previous existing condition and lost earnings.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to remove or repair the defective picnic table, and allowed a table that was in a poor condition to remain on their property for a sufficient length of time.
Bearse seeks trial by jury damages of more than $15,000 and costs of suit. She is represented by attorneys Christian Denmon, Lee Pearlman and Andrew Mallory of Denmon Pearlman in St. Petersburg.
