Coral Springs motorist accused of causing crash, injuries

Car accident 45

FORT LAUDERDALE — Three Pompano Beach residents are suing a Coral Springs motorist, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

George Costanza, Kara Costanza and Brandon Kelly filed a complaint Nov. 1 in Broward County Circuit Court against Jeffrey M. Pottruck, alleging the motorist negligently operated and maintained his motor vehicle, causing a collision and injuries.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 21, 2015, George Costanza was driving on NE 62nd Street in Fort Lauderdale, with Brandon Kelly as his passenger. The suit says their vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Pottruck.  As a result of the collision, the suit says, Constanza and Kelly sustained physical injuries, property damages and medical expenses, which left Kara Costanza loss of consortium of her husband.

The plaintiffs allege Pottruck failed to exercise due care while driving his vehicle on a public road.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, compensatory damages of more than $15,000, court costs, plus any further relief the court deems just and proper. They are represented by attorney Sanford R. Topkin of Topkin & Partlow PL in Deerfield Beach.
