Broward County motorist blames another driver for crash, injuries

FORT LAUDERDALE — A Broward County motorist is suing another driver, alleging the defendant's negligence caused a vehicle collision.

Davia McDonald filed a complaint Nov. 1 in Broward County Circuit Court against Winsome M. Turnbull, alleging the defendant breached his duty to maintain, control and operate his vehicle upon the streets and roadways in a safe manner.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 22, 2015, McDonald was driving her Nissan vehicle near the intersection of North Lauderdale and SW 81st Avenue when Turnbull's Toyota struck her car, causing a violent collision. 

As a result, McDonald says she sustained physical injuries, property damage, loss of earnings and incurred medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds alleges Turnbull failed to maintain and control his vehicle, causing a violent collision with another another vehicle.

McDonald seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, attorney fees, costs, and all other relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by attorney Jermaine Thompson of Pembroke Pines.
