ORLANDO — A Georgia man is suing an Orlando law firm, alleging negligence.

Ernesto Gonzalez filed a complaint Oct. 30 in Orange Circuit Court against Englett and Associates PLLC, Kaufman, Englett & Lynd PLLC, LawyerASAP PLLC, alleging the defendants accepted funds without the means or intent to deliver such services.

According to the complaint, starting in 2014, Gonzalez has suffered damages as a result of hiring the defendants to restore a property in Hillsborough County to his late father's estate. The suit says the property had been conveyed to a third party through fraud. However, the lawsuit states, none of the defendants' legal actions were appropriate to address the plaintiff’s legal needs.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants were not capable of the task for which Gonzalez failed to deliver promised services to clients, and engaged in a pattern of overbilling and billing for unnecessary work.

Gonzalez seeks trial by jury, all damages and relief appropriate under the law, statutory remedies including treble damages and attorney fees. He is represented by attorney R. Nadine David of Florida Probate Law Group in Gainesville.
