Insurance 01

ORLANDO — An Orlando couple is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Donald Jones and Linda Jones filed a complaint Oct. 31 in Orange County Circuit Court against Olympus Insurance Company,  alleging the defendant breached the insurance contract due to its refusal to pay for the homeowners' losses.

According to the complaint, on July 5, 2015, the plaintiffs sustained damaged to their property at 9619 Bay Vista Estates Blvd., Orlando, a result of a storm. The suit says the Joneses notified Progressive of the damage, which was still under the policy period.

The plaintiffs say they complied with all insurance conditions but failed to receive any insurance coverage to compensate for their property loss.

The plaintiffs allege Olympus Insurance failed and has refused to pay the insured all of the losses sustained in the property damage.

The Joneses seek trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 for all covered losses, plus interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and court costs. They are represented by attorney Marc Jandy of The Nation Law Firm in Longwood.
