Customer blames Orlando mall for injuries

ORLANDO — An Orlando man is suing a local mall and its designers, alleging constructing a dangerous step on the premises, causing injuries.

Joshua Boesch filed a complaint Oct. 31 in Orange County Circuit Court against Florida Mall Associates LTD, VCC, LLC; Cuhaci & Peterson, Architects, Engineers, Planners Inc.; et al. alleging the defendants failed to design, construct and supervise the construction of the steps of the premises of the Florida Mall.

According to the complaint, on July 15, 2016, Boesch was entering Florida Mall in Orlando through the Carvera Argentina Grill entrance/exit. The suit says Boesch tripped and fell on a dangerous step. As a result, Boesch alleges he sustained physical injuries, disability and expense of hospitalization.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to recognize the negligently constructed dangerous steps, failed to provide adequate warning signs or notice of the dangerous steps and failed to remedy the dangerous steps.

Beosch seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. He is represented by attorney David F. Anderson of Burnetti, PA in Lakeland.
