Slip02

ORLANDO — An Orange County man is suing Wal-Mart, alleging it allowed a dangerous condition to remain on its property that led to injuries to the plaintiff.

Johnny Ramos Maldonado filed a complaint Oct. 24 in Orange County Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores East LP, alleging the defendant failed to exercise reasonable duty for the safety of individuals inside the premises.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 8, 2016, Maldonado was a customer at the Wal-Mart at 3838 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, when he slipped on an unknown liquid substance near the sports department.

As a result, Maldonado says he sustained physical injuries, aggravation of previously existing condition and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Wal-Mart Stores East failed to post warnings or caution barriers surrounding the dangerous condition, failed inspect the liquid substance on the floor and failed to correct the unreasonably dangerous condition.

Maldonado seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 and other all other relief deemed proper by the court. He is represented by attorney W. Clay Mitchell Jr. of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
