Contractor alleges golf facility failed to pay for renovations

ORLANDO — An Orange County man is suing a golf facility owner, alleging breach of contract in failure to pay for renovation work.

Patrick Amore filed a complaint Oct. 17 in Orange Circuit Court against Duane Tomko, alleging that the property owner breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 14, 2016, Amore was hired by Tomko to perform renovation work at Dewey's Indoor Golf and Sports. However, Amore says, he suffered monetary damages from Tomko's refusal to pay for the renovation.

The plaintiff alleges Tomko retained and benefited from the time, materials and services rendered by Amore in the renovation of the defendant's property without extending the corresponding payment as agreed upon.

Amore seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $15,000 for all damages, attorney fees, court costs, and all further relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by attorney Rafael F. Garcia of MSPG Law Group of Central Florida PLLC in Orlando.
