Orange County property owners allege contractors breached contract

Contract 04

ORLANDO — Two Orange County property owners are suing contractors and construction companies, alleging breach of contract.

Ronald Singh and Pamela Singh filed a complaint Oct. 9 in Orange County Circuit Court against KB Home, KB Home Florida, LLC and KB Home Orlando, LLC , alleging violation of the Florida Building Codes Act.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 30, 2007, the defendants issued a special warranty deed to deliver the property at 354 Country Cottage Lane, Davenport, in compliance with all applicable local, state, and national building codes and regulations. The Singhs say the design and construction of the home failed to follow the city regulations due to construction deficiencies, which include improper installation of a stucco system.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to comply with the all applicable local, state, and national building codes and regulations, including, but not limited to The Florida Building Code, in effect at the time of construction, violating the Florida Building Codes Act.

The Singhs seek trial by jury, damages of at least $15,000, plus interest, court costs, and all other relief the court deems just and appropriate. They are represented by attorneys Neil P. O'Brien, Wil H. Florin and Luca G. Esposito of Florin Roebig PA in Palm Harbor.
