Motorist blames another driver for crash, injuries

Car accident 23

CLEARWATER — A St. Petersburg man is suing a motorist, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Khoa Le filed a complaint Sept. 27 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Buddy Callaway, alleging the motorist failed to exercise standard care and skill required in operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 10, 2015, Le was traveling near the intersection of 22nd Avenue N and 58th Street N. in St. Petersburg. The suit says a motor vehicle carelessly operated by Callaway collided with the plaintiff's vehicle.

As a result of the crash, Le says he sustained bodily injuries, medical and related expenses, mental anguish, inconvenience, disfigurement and aggravation of an existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges Callaway failed to pay attention to traffic and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles.

Le seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $15,000, plus attorney fees and court costs, and all further relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Mai Vu of Vu Legal PA in Tampa.
