CLEARWATER — Two Pinellas County homeowners are suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.
Eleftheria and John Kambouris filed a complaint Sept. 1 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Southern Fidelity Insurance Company, alleging the insurer failed to pay damages for a covered cost.
According to the complaint, on May 9, the Kambouris' property sustained a loss covered by the policy. However, the suit says, despite the efforts ofthe plaintiffs to comply with all post-loss obligations, Southern Fidelity denied coverage for the loss.
The plaintiffs allege Southern Fidelity Insurance obligated them to pay for the services of a legal counsel to represent and protect their interest, and has refused to pay the full amount of plaintiffs' insurance claim.
Eleftheria and John Kambouris seek trial by jury, damages, declaratory relief, attorney fees, costs of action and all relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorney Barry E. Berger of Law Offices of Berger & Dowling in Palm Harbor.
