Wal-Mart Stores East LP allegedly failed to prevent woman from falling

Slip01

ORLANDO — An individual is suing Wal-Mart Stores East LP for alleged negligence.

Lina Rodriguez filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to maintain its premises in safe conditions.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was on the defendant's premises on Oct. 4, 2016 when she allegedly slipped and fell on a transitory foreign substance on the floor. She claims that the fall resulted in bodily injury, pain, suffering, physical impairment, inconvenience, disability and lost earnings.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to clean the area where the accident occurred, ensure that the area was free from all defects and dangers and for allegedly failing to adequately warn her of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, costs and other relief the court deems necessary. She is represented by John V. Trujillo Jr of Pardy & Rodriguez PA in Orlando.
