Mercury Indemnity Company of America, motorist accused of negligence

CLEARWATER — A woman is suing Mercury Indemnity Company of America and Merlande Petitbois for alleged negligence.

Brittany K. Anderson filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the Pinellas County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to exercise the standard care and skill required to operate a vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered bodily injury, pain, suffering, impairment, disability, inconvenience, the aggravation of a pre-existing condition, mental anguish, loss of earnings and medical expenses on Nov. 30, 2016 as a result of a uninsured/underinsured motorist alleging colliding with her motor vehicle. 

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm and for allegedly refusing to provide compensate him for damages.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages in excess of $15,000 plus costs. She is represented by Timothy M. Ingram of Ingram Injury Law PA in Clearwater.
