FORT LAUDERDALE — An individual is suing Golden Corral Corporation for alleged negligence.
David Pope filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered bodily injury on Jan. 1, 2016 when he allegedly slipped and fell on debris that allegedly was on the ground. He claims that he suffered pain, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and the aggravation of a pre-existing condition due to the fall.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to adequately warn him of the dangers on its premises, and for allegedly failing to correct and/or repair the dangerous condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in excess of $15,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Robert C. Rogers Jr. of Lawrence J. Bohannon PA in Fort Lauderdale.
