Federated National Insurance Co. breached contract, Miramar property owner claims

FORT LAUDERDALE – An insurer is accused by a Miramar property owner of breaching an insurance policy.

Yvelyne Saintil filed a complaint on June 2 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against Federated National Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 12, 2016, her property was damaged by water loss caused by a defective plumbing system. She alleges the defendant has breached its policy by denying coverage for her claim.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, plus statutory interest, court costs, and attorney's fees. She is represented by Robert A. Reynolds of Duboff Law Firm in North Miami.
