Ocoee Walmart shopper seeks more than $15,000 after fall in store

Slip01

ORLANDO – A shopper at the Ocoee Walmart alleges that she was injured because of a substance on the floor in the health and beauty department.

Ramona Linaldi filed a complaint on May 26 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 27, 2015, she was on the premises of the defendant when she slipped and fell on a sticky, gel-like substance on the floor of the store and was injured.

The plaintiff holds Wal-Mart Stores Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately maintain the premises/flooring, failed to inspect or warn plaintiff of the danger of the premises/flooring, and failed to render and/or negligently rendered aid to plaintiff after her fall.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by Varun Ramnarine of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
