Man alleges George's Hide-Away failed to maintain floors, caused injury

Slip02

ORLANDO – An Orange County resident alleges he was injured at an Orlando business because of the dangerous condition of the floor.

Leon Johnson filed a complaint on May 9 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against George's Hide-Away Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 17, 2016, he was lawfully on the defendant's property and slipped on a substance that caused him injury. He alleges he suffered bodily injury in and about his body and extremities, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, scarring, mental anguish, loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings, loss of the ability to earn money, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions.

The plaintiff holds George's Hide-Away Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn plaintiff about the existing dangers of the premises and failed to maintain the floor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000 plus interest and costs. He is represented by Jason P. Herman and Matthew H. Wolfe of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
