CLEARWATER – A Pinellas County man alleges he was injured in the St. Petersburg Lowe's store.

Ernest A. James filed a complaint on May 2 in the Pinellas Circuit Court against Lowe's Home Centers LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 4, 2013, he was shopping at the defendant's store when he slipped on a substance on the floor in the paint department and was injured.

The plaintiff holds Lowe's Home Centers LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerously slippery floor within its premises and failed to inspect and correct the hazardous condition of the area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, for damages in an amount of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney's fees. He is represented by James R. Wilson of Morgan & Morgan PA in Tampa.
