CLEARWATER – A Palm Harbor couple alleges the wife was injured in an accident and that the driver left the scene.
Sandy and George Chambers filed a complaint on April 18 in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pinellas Circuit Court against William Joseph Rice II and Ean Holdings LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 1, 2013, Sandy Chamber was operating a Prius owned by her husband on state Road 55 when Rice, who was driving a vehicle owned by Ean Holdings, rear-ended the plaintiffs' vehicle. The suit states Rice fled the scene.
Sandy Chambers alleges she sustained severe physical and emotional injuries, costs of medical treatment, loss of earnings and loss of property, while her husband suffered the loss of her wife's services, comfort and society.
The plaintiffs hold Rice II and Ean Holdings LLC responsible because Rice allegedly failed to operate the vehicle in a safe and reasonable manner.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants for compensatory damages, interest, costs, and further relief as the court deems just. They are represented by George C. Kezemides of George C. Kezemides PA in Tarpon Springs.
