ORLANDO – A Petsmart shopper alleges she was injured because of a puddle of water on the floor of the store.
Donna Taylor filed a complaint on April 17 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Petsmart Inc. alleging that the retail store failed to provide a reasonably safe environment for its business invitees.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 5, 2016, she was at the defendant's store at the Fashion Square Mall in Orlando when she slipped and fall from a puddle of water on the floor. As a result of the alleged negligence of defendant's agents, plaintiff claims she sustained injuries, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, physical and mental pain, disability, and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Petsmart Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep the premises in a reasonably safe condition.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by Debi F. Chalik of Chalik & Chalik PA in Plantation.
